NTT Governor Meets SKALA NTT Head to Strengthen Public Service Collaboration

NTT Governor Melki Laka Lena met SKALA NTT Head Yohanes Eripto Marviandi to enhance collaboration in improving basic services for the underprivileged.

Kupang, Nigaola.com – NTT Governor Melki Laka Lena welcomed a courtesy visit from SKALA NTT Head, Yohanes Eripto Marviandi, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Governor’s Office in Kupang. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation and synergy between the NTT Provincial Government and SKALA, a partnership program between Australia and Indonesia.

SKALA (Sinergi dan Kolaborasi untuk Akselerasi Layanan Dasar) is an initiative designed to support Indonesia’s efforts to reduce poverty and inequality by enhancing the provision of basic services for poor and vulnerable communities in underdeveloped regions. Over the past two years, SKALA has played a crucial role in assisting NTT’s development agenda.

Strengthening Collaboration for Better Public Services

During the meeting, Governor Melki Laka Lena emphasized the importance of continuous collaboration between SKALA and the NTT Provincial Government.

“We want SKALA and the NTT Provincial Government to strengthen each other’s roles in improving public services. Additionally, we need to ensure that our joint programs are well-measured and effective,” said the Governor.

The discussion highlighted key areas where SKALA can contribute to the provincial government’s initiatives, particularly in ensuring that essential services reach those in need efficiently and sustainably.

SKALA’s Commitment to Supporting Dasa Cita

SKALA NTT Head, Yohanes Eripto Marviandi, reaffirmed SKALA’s dedication to supporting Dasa Cita, the ten-priority program launched by the Governor and Vice Governor of NTT. This program focuses on various aspects of development, including healthcare, education, and social welfare.

“Our team at SKALA is ready to collaborate in implementing the Dasa Cita initiatives. We believe that through strong partnerships, we can drive meaningful change for the people of NTT,” stated Yohanes.
