Kupang, Nigaola.com – Hundreds of civil servants (ASN) from the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Provincial Government enthusiastically participated in a mass workout led by NTT Deputy Governor Johni Asadoma. The event took place at the Governor’s Office Yard on Friday morning (7/3/2025) and was attended by the Regional Secretary Assistants and Heads of Regional Government Departments.
Starting at 7:00 AM WITA, the session was filled with joy and team spirit. The workout began with a warm-up session led by professional instructors, followed by a group exercise routine set to a mix of traditional regional songs and modern music. The session concluded with a cool-down, personally guided by Deputy Governor Johni.
Building Health and Strengthening Solidarity
Speaking to the media after the event, Deputy Governor Johni emphasized that the spirit of exercise is not only about promoting a healthy lifestyle but also serves as a platform to strengthen synergy among government agencies.
“This morning, together with the Regional Secretary Assistants, Department Heads, and civil servants, we engaged in a group workout at the Governor’s Office Yard. Exercise is not only beneficial for physical health but also for mental well-being. It allows us to connect with colleagues in a relaxed and enjoyable environment,” he stated.
In addition to stressing the importance of maintaining both physical and mental health, Johni urged that this positive activity be institutionalized as a regular event across government agencies.
“This kind of healthy activity is excellent, and we plan to hold it monthly at this location every Friday. In the following weeks, each government department will be required to conduct similar sessions at their respective offices. This initiative ensures that we all maintain strong and healthy bodies, which is crucial in fulfilling our duties as public servants,” Johni added.
The initiative reflects the NTT government’s commitment to fostering a healthy work environment and encouraging teamwork among civil servants. By integrating regular exercise into their routines, government employees are expected to improve their productivity and overall well-being. (*)
